Your Brain On WWDB?

It’s interesting to see what those “less informed” really know about the business and how WWDB is not the same as some organizations that do make more money off the system than they do from the product side of the business. After twelve years in the business, I know for a fact that all the money I’ve ever made in that period of time (6 years between Platinum & Ruby averaging $70k/yr) that 90% of my money came from Amway. So, with 10% being from WWDB, which is available to anyone who build the same size business, the “tool bonus” is marginal and basically covers gas and other expenses of simply building the biz.

There is no doubt that books, CDs, functions are all about personal development and shouldn’t be treated any different than going to school. Do people get on line and bitch about the cost of book, tuition and how much the professors are getting paid? Give me a break! At least if you build the business correctly, you will make money and you get the legal tax write-offs of a business. I can easily say that I now make 5 times the income today than I used to make prior to the business and give a majority of the credit to the willingness to learn, develop and change my way of thinking, along with now having a much better self image.

So, does college guarantee you financial success? Does everyone who goes to college make $100k when getting out? Do people bash colleges for having $100k+ in school loans and only make $25k a year at their jobs? All of these questions have to do with the person and what they are willing to do to succeed, whether it be a job or ANY type of business. There are winners and whiners. Steve Jobs makes a bunch of money from Apple, but how many Apple employees complain about how much he makes, how much it costs them to drive to work, the time they put in, any new training they must do, etc., etc.

I’ve been to the houses of many Diamonds and they do have nice places and things. Bottom line is that they are still people and they do have a life outside of what they do on stage. How many people do you know are exactly the same at work as they are at the bar on Friday night? All any of us can try to do is be a good person, try to make a positive impact (if you desire to, which is what most leaders in WWDB have done no matter what is going on in their personal life) and to keep working to become a better person and prosper for the sake of your family.

They never said that the business is Eutopia, but it has more positive aspects than negative and you can make more money and become a better person….the only problem is that it’s a matter of choice. Winners are too busy living life and making things happen. Whiners like to get online and complain about things without any time or energy going toward something productive. Just my 2 cents. I wish everyone the best and that you get what you want in life.

  2. $70,000/yr. gross revenue? Big deal. Factor in expenses and then take out your income taxes. You're not making much.

You now make 5x what you did before the biz? What, no walkaway income? Does that mean you are not still in? If not, why not? I mean, it's so lucrative, and you just have to be willing to work, right? Economy have an impact, perhaps? Discretionary money went poof when the economy evaporated.

It's nice that it has made you a better person (your words); does that mean you can't become a better person without mlm?

I have no beef with mlm per se; I do have a challenge with those who take on an elitist attitude when they are in one. It's a job like any other.

And, yes, there is great concern about the cost of college and not being able to find a job to make it worth the incurred debt. It's a hot topic everywhere.

I'm sure some of Steve Jobs employees complain. But they are also guaranteed a paycheck at the end of the week for the hours put in. Not so with mlm. There are no guarantees.

Did wwdb ever contribute to your 401(k), pay for your vacation? match your taxes? pay your holidays? pay for your medical insurance? a pension? anything???

Once again, for the record, many of us were in wwdb for years working like dogs with zero results. The expenses ate up any tiny profit. The shocking number of nights away from home and children, traveling across the country chasing prospects, attends Emerald Opens, major functions, being C.O.R.E., making sure we put 50,000 miles/yr. on our cars so we wouldn't be considered losers, yeah, been there. Year after year after year.

    Not impressed.

  3. Heh heh...I love the title to this post.

WWDB IBO definitely has a handle on TapeSpeak..."Winners, not whiners" - err, is that the latest Tapism making the rounds on Standing Order?

Truly, a brain on WWDB is a terrible thing to behold.

  4. I love to hear anyone spout on about the goodness and morality of anything that teaches them to regard anyone not drinking the Kool-Aid as "whiners".

Let me start off by saying I used to be involved with WWDB as an IBO. I have nothing negative to say about the business model, or the people I met through it. Am I doing it now? NO. Why? Well, just as not everyone wants to be a Radiologist, even if they do on average make 500K/yr, so not everyone has the desire to be an IBO and make a car payment or a 6 figure income.
A personal friend of mine, Ryder Erickson, joined Amway in the late 90's. He started his business about 6 months before I did and STUCK WITH IT. Me, I told him it wasnt for me about 18 months later. We've maintained our friendship over the years and I've watched him quit his job (early part of 2000's,) as he's making so much money with Amway.
      I personally know grocery store owners, Jiffy Lube owners and some Resturant owners;
all of which work almost every day of the week, are in debt up to their eyeballs, and have to dedicate their life to their business.
Comparing their business expenses and dedication/losses to those I personally know and have relationships with in Amway; I can positively say that those who build an Amway business have it better.

    3. So you disagree, but offer nothing that is substantial and don't respond to their argument? Yikes. That's not at all credible and a bit stupid.

  5. People DO complain about the cost of textbooks and tuition.

Does everyone who goes to university owe $100K+? Hardly. Does everyone who goes to university make $25K a year? Most of them make more than that. The current loan I am looking at is in the region of $24K for a job that pays $37K+. On minimum wage (assuming the worst) /I/ am able to pay off that debt in 3 years. Debt is a terrible thing to have, but so long as your income exceeds your expenses, you are making money.

Not harping on your hopes. Just letting you know that in any economic system, especially businesses, some people end up doing the dirty work for almost no payoff.

  6. I know this is old but how WILD is that statement nobody complains about university fees or lack of jobs afterward? WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?
